Vista Tools vs. Vista Components and Where These Items Can Be Added

All the Vista tools are listed at the right.

To provide access to one of these tools, it must be added to the Vista Toolbar.

Only the Syllabus Tool can also be added to an Organizer Page as well as the toolbar. All the rest of the tools can only be added to the toolbar.

 
             
Vista Components
             
What is a Vista Component?
   
  Vista components are items created by Vista tools which can be added to Organizer Pages and Learning Modules. Examples of components include: a Discussion Topic, an Assessment, an Assignment, and a Chat Room.
             

 
What Components can be added to an Organizer Page?
     
  Any of the Components listed to the right can be added to any Organizer Page, including the Home Page.
 

 
What Components can be added to a Learning Module?
             
 

Any of the Components listed to the right can be added to any Learning Module.

Note that Syllabus, Learning Module, and Organizer Page can be added to an Organizer Page but not to a Learning Module
