End of the Semester Tasks for HuskyCT Class Sites
      
Tasks
           
1.
Download and save student data of interest.
      
 
a. Export Gradebook data to spreadsheet (NOTE: ALL gradebook users should do this)
 
      
 
b. Download Assessment reports (optional)
 
      
 
c. Compile and save Discussion Board messages (optional)
      
 
d. Compile and save Mail messages (optional)
 
 
e. Compile and download Assignment Submissions (optional)
 
2.
Get HuskyCT sites ready for upcoming semester
   
a. Request new HuskyCT sites for upcoming semesters (Required even if restoring old course)
 
b. Request that content from a prior semester be restored in a new HuskyCT site (optional)
   
Detailed Instructions
             
Task 1a: Export online Gradebook data to spreadsheet
             
  1. Navigate to the Gradebook from the Teach Tab
 
  2. Click on "Export to Spreadsheet" button at bottom of Gradebook
 
 

3. Click on Export button

NOTE: Usually the default settings are fine.

 
  4. Save the file to your computer.

Task 1b : Download Assessment reports
             
 

1. Navigate to Assessment Reports

Click on Teach tab
Click on Tool view
Choose Assessment Reports from the drop-dpwn menu
Click the green arrow button

 
  2. Choose an Assessment from the drop-down menu
 
 

3. Choose Report type

4. Click on Run Report button

 
 

5. Export report and Save to computer


Task 1c: Compile and save Discussion Board messages
             
  1. Navigate to the Discussion tool
 
 

2. Select the topic(s)

NOTE: You can click on the title for one topic or click on "All Topics"

 
 

 

3. Click the Expand All button

 

 
 

4. Check the boxes for the messages you wish to save

NOTE: Check the box to the left of "Subject" to select all messages

 
  5. Click on Create Printable View button
 
 

6. Save the file to your computer

Click on Save to File button
Choose a location for the file on your computer


Task 1d: Compile and save Mail messages
             
  1. Navigate to the Mail tool
 
 

2. Check the box next to "Subject" to select all messages.

NOTE: If you wish to save only some of the messages, check the boxes for the ones you wish to save.

    
  3. Click the Create Printable View buttion
    
 

4. Save as File and choose location on your computer


Task 1e: Compile and download Assignment submissions
             
  1. Go to the Assignment dropbox from the Teach Tab
 
  2. Select the Assignment using the drop-down menu
 
 

3. Select the submissions you wish to save

NOTE: To select all the submitted assignments, check the box to the left of the word "Title"

4. Click the Create Printable View button

 
  5. Click Save to File
 
 

6. Click OK

NOTE: The zip file with the collection of compiled assignments is saved to your My Files folder

 
 

To navigate to My Files folder:
Go to Build Tab
Click on File Manager link at upper right

   
 

Look in the left-hand menu of File Manager screen.


Task 2a: Request new HuskyCT sites for upcoming semester(s)
             
  1. Log into PeopleSoft
2. N
avigate to "Request HuskyCT Classes" screen
 
  3. Select the semester    
 
  4. Select the courses for which you want HuskyCT sites
 
  5. Click Submit button.

Task 2b: Request that content from a prior semester be restored in a new HuskyCT site.
             
  Method 1: Use "Restore HuskyCT Sections form" link on the "Request HuskyCT Classes" screen in PeopleSoft
 
  Method 2: Directly access the Restore section request form at http://irc.uconn.edu/restore_vista.php
             
  **Please note: Re-using a HuskyCT site from a previous semester requires TWO steps - requesting the new HuskyCT site for the upcoming semester (Task 2a) and filling out the Restore HuskyCT section request form (Task 2b).
