EXAMPLE 2 of 3

Original1 passage:
Used in a paper:
The development of many different channels for music serving diverse communities - most ignored by the traditional industry - could bring with it the ability for greater numbers of musicians to make a decent living selling fewer records than the 100,000 or so needed to break even on a major label. No longer will indie- or underground-flavor musicians have to struggle to sell the hundred thousand CDs necessary to break even on a major label. Internet file-sharing services will allow artists to reach a wider fan-base cheaper and more easily than through traditional channels, thus enabling them to make a better living selling fewer records.
